Our facilities are located on the island of Ra’iātea, in the Society archipelago of French Polynesia.
200km northwest of Tahiti, the main island of French Polynesia
The 4th largest island in French Polynesia
The 3rd most populous island
Has a diversified economy with agriculture, careening, commerce and pearl farming
Tourism is not the dominant activity
Our installations consist of 4 pilot floating photovoltaic parks of around 80m² each. Each installation has different light propagation characteristics
One platform transmits 21% of solar radiation
One platform transmits 49% of solar radiation
One platform transmits 21% of solar radiation with UV reduction
One platform transmits 49% of solar radiation with UV reduction
The panels were supplied by Sonnenstromfabrik and the structures were designed and produced by SolarinBlue.
The platforms are secured by an anchoring system, proposed by Seaflex, consisting of bungee cords connected to ecological screw anchors
The platforms are located 350 m from the shore
The electrical installation of the panels was carried out by Sunzil. The photovoltaic performance monitoring sensors were supplied by AllianTech, in collaboration with Total. The terrestrial cable was connected to the central kitchen by SPL.

Ecological modalities
Two ecological modalities were identified for monitoring the effect of shading on corals:
Monitoring coral spuds already present at the various sites
Introduction of coral cuttings taken near the installation sites
